Pulp Fiction Review

Pulp Fiction, people hear the name and think immeadiately about Tarantino. This film is Tarantino's crowning achievement as a writer and a director and it won him the coveted PALM DE' OR award for best film at the Cannes film festival. This movie completely redefined cinema for the 20th century, it is a well crafted movie with well played characters that draw you into the film and don't leaving you thinking I want my money back. This movie follows two hitmen as they amble through the biggest job they have had yet. The movie plunges the depths that make us human and shows us their power with a great script and career starting performances from actors such as Travolta. I say, see it and I give it four stars out of five stars.

Movie Of The Week

The movie of the week this week is "Gran Torino". I first saw Gran Torino three months ago, yet it is still potent in my mind. It is that performence of a lifetime for Eastwood that touches us, and burns this movie into our minds with its powerful look at giving something to someone who truly cares.
Eastwood gave a riveting performance as Walt Kowalski that made the movie really pretty good in spite of the somewhat disappointing performences from the rest of the cast. This movie was great, it was so good in fact I want to give it four out of five stars.

The Hunger Games Review

The Hunger Games is an amazing and great recollection of the future. It is a first person narritive following 16 year-old Katniss Everdeen and her will to survive in an annual fight to the death on Live T.V. in order to remind the citizens of the Twelve Districts of Panem their power. She substitutes for her younger sister Prim when she gets picked for the Hunger Games and goes through the hardest training and hardest game that man has ever created. Along the way she finds love and hard deicisions in Suzanne Collin's best-seller and award winner. If I could give it a six on a five scale I would, but because I can't, I'll give it a five out of five. Don't think about it, read it! Click here for snippet

Avatar Trailer The Movie (New Extended HD Trailer)

Avatar Review

Avatar is a fantastically crafted movie, its artistic value is only matched by its superb storyline, and very believeable characters. This movie has the best graphics any movie could withstand. Often times movies use to much of a good thing, this being graphics. I think this could ruin a movie, but it was used to bring the Na'Vi people to life. This makes the characters very lifelike. One downside is, however the story is very familiar, the plot is similar to Kevin Costner's "Dances With Wolves". But this does not taper the film at all because it has its own life to it. This makes James Cameron's "Avatar" a modern classic and a must see. I give it five stars out of five.
